Seven people submitted petitions to run for the At-Large seat on Steamboat Springs City Council, according to City Clerk Julie Franklin, meaning a dozen total people filed to run for a City Council seat.

The seven candidates for the two-year, At-Large seat on Council are: Joella West, Walter Magill, Robbie Shine, Kim Haggerty, Loryn Duke, Dave Barnes and Blythe Casner.

Current At-Large Council Member Steve Muntean opted to run for the District Two seat on Council this time. He will seemingly be reelected to a four-year term as no one filed to run against him.

For District One, two candidates submitted petitions: Current City Council President Gail Garey and local business owner Kelly Phillips. There are also two candidates in the District Three race, David Box and John Agosta.
