LiftUp will start free summer lunch program again in June

Rocket Pack Summer Lunch Program offers weekly meals for school aged children through the summer free of charge.


A child’s need for nutritious food doesn’t end with the school year. LiftUp of Routt County offers

weekly meals for school-aged children during the summer, free of charge, through the Rocket Pack

Summer Lunch Program.


Nutritious meals support the health, well-being, and performance of Routt County children. The

summer lunch program will begin in June 2023. Each bag which will provide a week’s worth of lunches

and the bags will be available at LiftUp Food Bank locations on the following schedule:

  • Tuesdays 1-5 PM in Steamboat (2095 Curve Court)

  • Tuesdays 9:30-11 AM in Oak Creek (227 Dodge Avenue)

This year nearly 700 children have been receiving weekly Rocket Pack snack bags and LiftUp anticipates

this number may rise once the school year ends. LiftUp is requesting monetary donations to purchase

and fulfill all summer lunch requests. Online donations can be made at https://liftuprc.org/ways-to-

give/donate/ or cash or check donations can be dropped off at the LiftUp Steamboat Food Bank, 2095

Curve Court, Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM. If you have questions call 970-870-8804.

and download and complete the English or Spanish application and return to any LiftUp food bank

location or email to food@liftuprc.org.
