Brown Ranch Results: Steamboat Voters reject Brown Ranch Annexation

'No' was leading 2,903 to 2,074 'yes' with 400 votes remaining in sharp rebuke of Yampa Valley Housing Authority Project.

Initial results released after polls closed at 7 p.m. show the 'no' vote is leading by a wide margin on the question of whether to annex the Brown Ranch into the city of Steamboat Springs. The vote count was 2,903 'no' votes 2,094 to 'yes' votes.

These results are not yet final and city officials estimate they still have roughly 400 ballots to count, less than the current margin.
